Presenting on:
Ethical Feedback Practices for Behavior Analysts
Abstract
Supervisors rely on feedback to maintain and shape the complex repertoires of their
trainees and supervisees, as well as their own behavior. However, many supervisors
have limited training on the effective use of feedback aligned with ethical obligations.
This talk focuses on exploring practical strategies for building ethical feedback skills to
enhance supervisory practices tied to ethics standards in the Ethics Code for Behavior
Analysts (BACB, 2020) and the RBT® Ethics Code (2.0) (BACB, 2021). Using
information from current research, we will discuss what feedback is, why it is critical,
some common myths and pitfalls, and strategies for developing four important feedback
repertoires (soliciting, receiving, implementing, and giving).
The Annual Meeting will be held online via Zoom from 8:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a one-hour break for lunch (Annual Meeting will occur 12:30) and the meeting. Attendance and 6 CEUs (5 General and 1 ethics) are free for active VtABA members.
Please note: All participants seeking CEUs must respond to a Google Quiz for attendance purposes.
